Close Encounters with Jade

Crows are neat. I always thought of birds as "watchers". How cool would it be to just be able to fly anywhere you want, whenever you want? To be free as a bird.... Anyway, this article I found suggests that understanding the brain of a crow could help us to understanding aliens! It's kinda cool. I'm a few years behind the times on this as it was published in 2013. I keep hearing stories about these black eye'd children. Creepy little men in black type kids with coal for eyes - lacking all color - and monotone voices, with no emotive behind it, who come knocking at the door and asking to use the phone. If you let them in, eerie and haunted-like  things start to happen to you and your pets. It sounds totally bizarre! Is this real or folklore? What do you think?
